I found real gold this weekend… and it had nothing to do with the stuff stored in Ft. Knox.
I have a picture on my vision board of a man running on a trail through golden leaves. I’ve set this as one of my visions for years. Each fall I try to reproduce this scene/feeling. I did just that this past weekend in Vail, Colorado.
One of the IQ tests I flunk each year is running up a number of mountains at various ski areas. Lots of elevation gain… lots of pain.
And…
Amazing rewards.
Physically, and most importantly, mentally.
That’s where the gold is.
Between my ears. As I ran (mind you, very slowly) at 9,000 ft., I drifted away. Away to a place that was:
- Encased in peace.
- Where all was well.
- That was worth more than any material possession.
As I ran, I welled up with gratitude. I was so thankful for:
- My health.
- My beautiful state.
- My many blessings.
And… none of them had to do with dollars.
How ’bout you? What are you grateful for?
Love!
